Web designer
We're looking for a kick-ass creative web designer / user interface designer with awesome HTML and CSS skills to join our small team in Nottingham.
You will gain experience of the web design project lifecycle within a digital web agency. There will be plenty of opportunities for you to demonstrate your skills and continually enhance your skills as a designer, and progress your career in a growing design agency.
Essential skills and traits

You need to be scary good at HTML and CSS, ideally already having built a few sites with HTML 5 and CSS 3.

You must be able to wow people with your Javascript skills, using libraries such as jQuery to achieve funky effects.

A passion for web design and a desire to push boundaries and set new trends.
Technical requirements:

You must be able to write HTML and CSS by hand, without using a WYSIWYG editor.

You must be able to take a PSD, EPS or similar and create a website from it.

Best practice and meeting accessibility standards is really important to us, so it will need to be important to you too.
Interpersonal skills:

We're a small agency, but handle a lot of responsibility for big clients. You'll need to be able to perform under pressure, and but in the hard work to meet deadlines when required.

Our projects range from small tweaks for local businesses, to large-scale projects for international brands. You'll need to be flexible in your approach, and able to communicate on different levels.

We're a fun crowd. You'll get on great if you're fun too.

We're chatty, social people and love to talk to our clients. It's vital you can convey your message through excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

As we're small, you must be a highly motivated, self starter with a keen eye for detail.
Necessary experience:

A solid portfolio is a must, either with another agency or perhaps through freelance projects. Don't forget to attach plenty of examples with your application.
To stand out, you might also have:

Good Photoshop / Illustrator / similar skills.

An understanding of integrating database-driven content.

Experience with Social Media networks such as Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter.
Educational requirements:

No specific requirements, although a flair for design is crucial and a degree in a creative or technical subject will help you stand out.
Location:
This is a full time role, working flexible hours, Monday to Friday in our Nottingham office.
Compensation:
Upto £26k, dependant on experience. Please state your salary expectation on your application.
