The Brief
The East Midlands Conference Centre and Childline hired us to deliver the complete campaign for their fundrasing event set to take place in December 06. Racenight 2006, a fundraising night comprising of a drinks reception, dinner, virtual horseracing with the opportuninty to place real bets, auction and raffle all in celebration of ChildLine's 20th birthday - with all money raised helping them reach the £20m target for this year.
The Solution
Distinction developed and produced the whole project, from initial creative and concept development to final print and web deliverables.
The aim was to give the event a celebratory and upbeat theme (the event is a celebration after all), whilst still pushing the childline message.
The concept was to have a race meet feel to the project, with each piece moving a loose narrative of the race meet along - so the initial invitations and promotion would centre around the beginning of the race, and the tickets and programmes taking the tone of post-race.


With some excellent photography, we were able to push the narrative using child models as the raceday jockeys, giving the concept an innocence and visual parrallel to childline.
