According to the BBC, the Government are to close 551 websites "to make access to information easier" for people.
Of the current 951 sites, only 26 will definitely stay, 551 will close and hundreds more will be reviewed.
The decision marks a move towards "supersites" - namely DirectGov and BusinessLink - where information will be centrally located and made easier to search.
To us this sounds like a great idea, but we'll wait and see how the Government deliver it in practice.
